Free HESI A2 Practice Test

The HESI A2 test is utilized as an entrance exam for collegiate health fields, with a focus in nursing.

The test is primarily taken by recent high school graduates who have yet to be exposed to, or trained in medical subjects.

The HESI A2 is an online test, which can be taken in computer labs, or other Prometric testing centers.

Due to the requirement of universities that candidates only complete small portions of each different section of the HESI A2 exam, there is no singular process or schedule for the exam.

The length of the HESI A2 examination varies based on the sections chosen by the administer.

The HESI A2 is typically provided on college campuses. Because of this colleges are allowed to decide test dates, fees, retesting options, student disability accommodations, and other issues, based on their own policies and requirements.

For people wishing to take the HESI A2 exam it is recommended that they contact their college for details related to test taking.

The HESI Entrance Exam consists of seven exam topics: Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary and General Knowledge, Grammar, Basic Math Skills, Biology, Chemistry, and Anatomy and Physiology. The questions related to these seven subjects add up to 275 questions.

There are an extra 29 questions that are related to personality profiling. These two sections sum up to 304 questions that are required to be answered within five hours and fifteen minutes.

There is no specific score to pass the test; however, the HESI organization recommends that a 75% passing score be used by RN and HP programs and a 70% passing score be used by LPN/LVN programs.

Still, the university maintains the right to establish their own requirements for passing the HESI A2.
